NHL Adidas concept: Calgary Flames

I removed the black off the team’s colors format, just red, gold, and white. The dark jersey is based on the team’s classic alternate jersey but the gold, and white stripes are switched. The Light jersey is just simple stripes nothing more to tell about this one. I brought back the flaming horse logo as shoulder patch and recolored.

Hi everyone, Alan here for some more rants here at AJH HJA! These are some I forgot to talk about, so let’s get on some rants!

Calgary Arena trouble

We jumped one problem with one team wanting to build an arena at taxpayer’s expense, I’m not going to talk long on this one because it’s just the same old story, different team. If you’re thinking that the Calgary Flames are going to relocated somewhere else don’t hold your breath both the team and the city of Calgary will come to an agreement on building an brand-new arena soon.

Fan Request on hold

Remember my last post that had fan request post, well after that post John O. request another one but the problem is Hurricane Maria hit his home country Puerto Rico hard so the fan request concept is on hold till everything alright over there. My thoughts and prayers to him, his family, and the people of Puerto Rico during this harsh time.

Updates, and new template

I’ve updated the link page with some hockey league sites, even an fanfic site I like reading. Also updated the template page replacing the Reebok jersey template with Adidas jersey templates, with collars all made by Steven G. Lastly, I add my version of the Adidas collar, go check them out. Maybe with the new template I can use that for future fan request concepts. (I know I’m stretching that one, I’ll try selling that one to him.)

Pictures on this site

During the summer where I had barely time to do I replaced pictures from Photobucket to Google photo due to the whole 3^rd party b.s.  Photobucket put a price tag to make my image show on this site, but that’s alright with me because that site has been slow to load, slow to upload, and pop up ads everywhere it was very tiring and an pain to work with to think after over ten years of using it, time to move on from that site.

Adidas jerseys system: Next league to follow

Well I got a good question for you all. When the AHL and CHL (Canadian Hockey League) follow suit into the Adidas jerseys system? I predict for the AHL it’ll be 2 years after this season, and for CHL, give it 5 years after this season for them to get into the Adidas jerseys system, I’m calling for it.

What’s next after NHL Adidas series?

Well for now there are indeed plans in the works, I’m thinking of doing an alternate series for all 31 NHL teams, and there are others flowing in my head also that has my local junior teams written all over it.

2017 NHL Playoff Pickz: Round 2 review, Round 3 picks

Hi everyone Alan here for Round 2 review, my round 3 picks, and more Calgary Flames fan request concept. Here's my review of round 2.

Western Conference

3) St. Louis vs WC2) Nashville

My pick: Blues in 5 games

Result: Preds took down the Blues in 6 games.
My thoughts: I got nothing on this one.

1) Anaheim vs 2) Edmonton

My pick: Ducks in 6 games

Result: Ducks in 7 games
My thoughts: Ducks may have barely won this series but the next round they won't be at good shape.

Eastern Conference

2) Ottawa vs (WC1) NY Rangers

My pick: Rangers in 7 games

Result: Sens beat the Rangers in 6 games
My thoughts: This is not good for the Rangers.

1) Washington vs 2) Pittsburgh

My pick: Pens in 6 games

Result: Pens in 7 games
My thoughts: They had the Caps in 5 but they mess it up.

Now to the Fan request concept once again the Calgary Flames. This one featuring black shoulders and main stripes is black. Some of them also got the black flaming "C" logo, and letters and numbers both on white jersey and dark.

Now my picks for the 3rd round of the this year playoffs.

2017 NHL Playoff Pickz: Round 1 review, Round 2 picks, and fan request concept.

Hi everyone Alan here for my round 1 review, Flames fan request concepts, and my picks for round 2! Let's not waste time and get this going.

Western Conference

1) Chicago vs WC2) Nashville

My pick: Hawks in 5 games
Result: Preds wins in 4 games
My thoughts: I have a feeling that the fall of the Hawks have started.

2) Minnesota vs 3) St. Louis

My pick: Blues in 7 games
Result: Blues wins it in 5 games
My thoughts: I was hoping for a good series all the way to 7 but the Wild didn't played well.

1) Anaheim vs WC1) Calgary

My pick: Ducks in 6 games
Result: Ducks swept the Flames in 4 games.
My thoughts: I know Calgary got problems with Anaheim but man this is worst.

2) Edmonton vs 3) San Jose

My pick: Oilers in 6 games
Result: Oilers wins it in 6 games.
My thoughts: Got this one right it was a gamble for me but the Oilers pulled it off.

Eastern Conference

My pick: Habs in 6 games
Result: Rangers wins it in 6 games
My thoughts: I thought the got this in the bag, but I was wrong.

2) Ottawa vs 3) Boston

My pick: Bruins in 5 games
Result: Sens moves on in 6 games.
My thoughts: Boy, I was soooo wrong on this series.

My pick: Caps in 4 games
Result: Caps takes it in 6 games
My thoughts: Caps may not get the sweeper but at least they got the series.

2) Pittsburgh vs 3) Columbus

My pick: Pens in 6 games
Result: Pens wins in 5 games
My thoughts: Everyone I know said the Blue Jackets are going to either beat the Pens or give them a hard time, guess not.

Hello everyone Alan here, is that time of year again the NHL Playoffs are here are you all ready? I am, but first before the picks here's another Calgary Flames fan request concept, request by John O.

Once again is the Flames old 1995-2000 set in Reebok form with a black alternate jersey, but the deference is the front logo and the shoulder patch logo are switched and the nameplate is the Flames current fonts.

Request to post a concept before the Playoffs!

Hi everyone, Alan here for my 3^rd post of 2017 here on AJH HJA! I’m going right straight to with my thoughts on things in the NHL and other stuff.

The Streak is over

In the 2014 WWE Wrestlemania The Undertaker streak ended by Brock Lensar. This year after 25 years the Detroit Red Wings playoff appearance streak is over as they didn’t play well, but the only good part about this is they didn’t play like the Colorado Avalanche this year “man that wasn’t pretty.” They will get as least a good pick at this year draft.

Oilers going Orange all the way.

The Oilers are going to the playoffs for the first time since 2006 so what the team do for the playoffs? Well the Oilers higher ups announced that starting at this year playoffs that the team will be wearing their orange jerseys and more likely next season home games. I'm a fan of the Oilers orange jersey but promoting it from alternate to home is not the way to go it's feels like it got that Calgary Flames vibe going on, but will see maybe the higher ups will think twice after this year playoffs.

Well that’s my quick rants, on to once again a fan request concept by John O. This time it’s the Oilers rival the Calgary Flames. This request is the Flames old 1995-2000 set in Reebok form.

These featuring 3 things. 1: It featuring the flaming horse logo on the shoulders. 2: The nameplate font is J-LOG Starkwood Sans. 3: We got a black alternate jersey.

For this years, Playoffs Pickz I’m going just straight to picks instead of explaining of team’s info I felt it’s time consuming to put many stuff together in so little time that’s all I’m making a change to it until if I get the time, and the feel to do some reviews from the rounds. Also at the same time I’ll be posting some more Flames fan request concepts requested by John O.

Lone Contributor: Try to think something warm

Hello I'm Alan, I'll get elbow to my head, so you don't have to. It's been almost 3 weeks since my last post, and it's been awhile since there was a lone contributor post so what better way to warm up from this cold weather with a Calgary Flames concept by Ricky M. Let's get to it!

Up points: The home and the road are good, the yoke is nicely design. Use the colors right, nothing too off. The alternate is very creative.
Down points: On the home jersey I felt like the nameplate, and the numbers should be mainly white to give that eye popper factor. On the road I feel the black and the red should be switch. Lastly on the 3rd the nameplate doesn't look right without trim around it.

Well this post is in the books, hopefully I can do some more posts soon if I can get of this funk I got since January, I just don't have the feel to post anything, then again this is wintertime so I can blame that for the lack of posts, and of course a lot things had been crazy for me outside the concept world, I'll leave at that. Calgary Flames Concept

Hello I'm Alan, I'll get elbow to my head, so you don't have to. Nothing to talk about on this post as this year's NHL season ends today with some games to close off a crazy season we got, and on April 16th the playoffs begains, so today's concept featuring a team that is not going to the playoffs the Calgary Flames let's get to it shall we.

Do you see a striking resemblance? Yes this is the same template as many other concepts I made, so this one is quick for me to explain about. Use the colors of red, yellow, and dark red. The nameplate is the same as the flames currently got, the numbers I used the Dallas Stars current number font, but with trims around it.

Fueled and Fired up!

Yo people hows a going? Have you all got your Christmas shopping done? I did! Enough talk about Christmas let's get on with the concepts, we have one from me, and one from Ricky.

Indy Fuel ECHL [by me]

This one was part of the HCI's first ever contest, and it has up, and down. Recycled my Soo Greyhounds template but gave it an IceHL template cut. The colors are red, gold, and black. The road helmet, and the pants are black to give this concept a little balance.

Calgary Flames 3rd concept [Ricky M.]

Using the Flame's current 3rd shoulder patch as the main logo is risky Ricky! [my apologize for that bad pun.] An black jersey with  big yellow stripes, and small red stripe on both arms, and hem. The down point is the yoke, it's good but it look too plain to me, if you add trim around the yoke then it would give me some eye popper. Lastly the numbers and nameplate should switch colors have yellow as the main color with red trim, and/or switch colors on the stripes. Overall: Could be a good 3rd, but got that random feel to it, not in a over the top way. Score: 8/10.
