AJH HJA 5th anniversary countdown: Moose gone Homicidal

Hi everyone, Alan here for another post here at AJH HJA's 5th anniversary countdown. Today post is Special event, one of few concepts I rarely do, sometimes every two years or so. From making mostly the Swift Current Broncos special event "My little pony night" concepts, to the one hit wonder Syracuse Crunch special event "Power Rangers" night concept. This one is mix of concepts I made base on a classic film Hockey Homicide, and the AHL's Manitoba Moose. I wanted to do this for a long time but due the return of the Winnipeg Jets, and the Moose moved to St.John. Now with the Moose back with a more updated logo I decide to go forth and put it together.

Indeed the jersey is base on a classic film Hockey Homicide along with the socks and pants to go with it. The main logo got a recolor treatment which is was hard to do until I add dark green with both green, and lime green to it to help the concept. I add the Jets main logo on the shoulders. Lastly the number fonts is indeed the moose font with adding thick white trim around it to give this concept that final touch.

2014 Jersey News!

Hello I'm Alan, I'll get elbow to my head, so you don't have to. Well I got some eye catching news to share with you all that could be for real, let's check it out.
 

Anaheim Ducks revival their new alternate jersey.

After months of rumors, the Ducks can happily report that this November the Ducks will hit the ice with there new alternate jersey. Base on the team's first ever alternate jersey that last only 1 season, the team decide to give the "wild wing" a second chance, but with some more orange. The fans will be happy to see these alternate on the ice then the rumored Stadium Series jersey.

OHL expanded to Chatham-Kent
After years of wait, my hometown got themselves  a OHL hockey club named the "Chatham-Kent Roadrunners. As part of the OHL big expansion plan that expanded from 20, to 24. With the buzz around the new club reviled the team's jersey set before they debut in 2015.

The team use maroon as the team's main color, followed by gold, and black. The logo is base on a Colonial Hockey League team (witch later became the United Hockey League 1991-97, and became the International Hockey League 2007-2010) the Chatham Wheels that last only two season (1992-1994.) The owners believes that the city of Chatham deserve an OHL team, witch will help not only the city grow, but also help the OHL grow too.

Canucks new alternate jersey for 2014-15 season
The Vancouver Canucks announced that they are replacing the team's 3rd jersey with their new 3rd jersey for 2014-15 season. Today the team reviled their new jersey.

Base on the team's first alternate jersey in 1996 recolored to the team's current included the addition of dark blue. The team put the skating Johnny Canuck logo on the front as the team's main logo for the alternate jersey. The 3rd jersey will hit the ice in December 2014.

Swift Current Broncos new special event jersey
The WHL's Swift Current Broncos have reviled their new special event jersey. for the first time in two years the team decide to bring back the "My Little Pony" night, but instead of choosing any 6 jersey, they got only 1 to see it in action, and it's in titled "My Little Pony's Derpy Hooves" night.

Using the old 2009 NHL all-stars game jersey, using different fonts on both the letters, and numbers. Lastly using  the colors of Derpy Hooves.

2013 Christmas Post!

Hey Everyone, I'm Alan, I'll get an elbow to my head, so you don't have to. It's Christmas! I got a Sabreswords special event jersey and a hockey jersey from Geekyjerseys.com! Let's get going.

London Sabreswords Special Event: Christmas Game

This jersey is base on my Montreal Olympiques IceHL set I made for the contest back from summer of this year. The logo was pretty much redesigned to make the Christmas theme happen, add two trees, a star on top of the blade, and add Christmas lights around the blade to top it off. Lastly the Colors of Christmas as finishing touches to this jersey.

North Pole Nicks Jersey

Up points: For a Christmas theme jersey, this one is well tamed. The logo is sharp and cool! The arms and hem stripes are Christmas sweater pattern, but not over the top.

Down point: The numbers and nameplate is a standard block that is plain, with the lack of trim around the numbers, and nameplate is a downer.

Overall: Good Christmas jersey, but needs trim around the numbers, and nameplate to give some life.

2013-14 Chatham Jr.B Maroons Ian Faubert Breast Cancer Awareness Night Jersey

On October 27, 2013 was the Breast Cancer Awareness Night at Chatham (my hometown) a charity event to raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society and the Breast Buddies dragon boat racing group. For the third year in a row I attend to this game out of how many years this team been doing this event, and also at this event there's a silent auction for the pink jerseys that they wore at the game.

The 2013 Breast Cancer Awareness Night Jersey in action

It was weird seeing the Maroons wearing a lighter shade of pink unlike their last two were darker pink, also it's funny seeing the Maroons in an lighter pink jersey match against the Leamington Flyers that wore white jersey instead of red jersey, but then again the last two years the Maroons wore the darker pink jersey, while their opponents wore dark uniforms.

 The silent auction went through well, and after 3 years of attempting to bid as much money I had and got out bid, I finally got myself an jersey, it felt good of winning this bid for an jersey not only as part of my hockey jersey collection, but also to raised money for Canadian Cancer Society, and feel proud of helping the community.

Today's featured jersey is a 2013-14 Chatham Jr.B Maroons Ian Faubert Breast Cancer Awareness Night Jersey This jersey maybe plain pink practice jersey with the Maroons logo on it, and size large, but surprisingly it fits the players equipment, and it's autographed by Ian Faubert himself.

London Sabreswords Special Event: Remembrance Day Game

On this since today is Remembrance Day I made this one for my HCIHL team, the London Sabreswords. The jersey is base on an alternate jersey from my California Golden Seals Concept only recolored to red, black, and white. The logo has a maple leaf on it, and the blade is gold. I used the Sens old fonts for both the numbers and nameplate, and finally I replaced the "Reebok" word mark with an poppy.

London Sabreswords Special Event Jersey

Hello everyone it's Halloween and what better way to have Halloween then do a special event jersey for my HCIHL's London Sabreswords and here it is.

Using the Boston Bruins old alternate jersey from 1995 to 2006 change the gold to orange, use my SF Piezolectric font for both the numbers, and nameplates from my template page. Finally modified the main logo by replace the "S" with the Jack-o-lantern face to fit this theme.

Well that's my concept for today, there will be some more special events for my HCIHL team in the future.

Syracuse Crunch Special Event Concept

With bunch of AHL teams doing special events I decide to make my own AHL special event concept, what better way to do it then with two things in my life "Hockey", and "Power Rangers", put them together and you'll get a special event concept. In case you all don't remember my "Hidden Treasure"posts that I made years ago around the same time during the 04-05 lockout I made Power Rangers theme hockey Jerseys, witch brings me to my rant about the Syracuse Crunch's new look, I had this idea stuck in my head for the longest time so I took a break from working on my OHL redesign concepts to do this idea and here it is my special event concept.

This concept is a Syracuse Crunch Special Event Power Rangers night the jersey is base on the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers with the teams colors, the main crest is the same but change the visor from silver to black to fit the theme, and the team's affiliate logo (Tampa Bay Lightning) is on the hem belt. So yeah that's my concept, hopefully I'll sent this concept to other sites, so far I sent it to icethetics hopefully it'll get on their concept page maybe on "Freaky Friday".
