2019 NHL Playoff Pickz: Round 3 review, my final feature, and my 2019 Stanley Cup pick

Hi everyone Alan here for my post of 2019 NHL Stanley Cup playoffs here at AJH HJA.
Here's the quick review of round 3.

Eastern Conference
Boston (A2) vs. Carolina (WC1)
My pick: Bruins in 5
Result: Bruins in 4
Final thought: I guess the Canes didn't have enough to get a least one win in this series.

Western Conference
San Jose (P2) vs. St. Louis (C3)
My pick: Sharks in 6
Result: Blues in 6
Final thought: That game 5 was always a key factor of who going to win in six games, and in the end, the Blues takes it and punch their ticket to the Stanley Cup finals.

Well, my last feature on this one is my Stallions concept made by me, you can say it's what if the Stallions is a hockey team, well here it is in Adidas form.

Stripes on the arms, hem, collar, yokes, socks, and even on the pants. Both the white and gold jerseys have the same design but the black jersey I made both white and gold on the arms, hem, and socks thicker so that both of them won't suffer the white gold syndrome. I use the Stallions wordmark logo made by me for the helmets. Lastly, a standard block font for the nameplate and the same for the numbers with trims. Come to think of it I would be on cloud nine if my design came full fulfilled, but oh well, in the end, I did enjoy putting together for my team even we are not doing well in the standings, but we're getting there sooner then later.

And with all that done, it's time for my final pick, the 2019 Stanley Cup finals picks that is. In the west making their first Stanley Cup finals appearance since 1970 the St. Louis Blues. Over in the east making their third Stanley Cup finals appearance since 2011, it's the Boston Bruins. Who's going to win? But more importantly which one will I pick to win the Stanley Cup? St. Louis may have been hungry since beating the heavy favorite to win it all the Winnipeg Jets in the first round, but I'll say Boston got this one.

My Pick: Bruins in 6

Well, that's it this one is in the books got some stuff to put together for this site down the road, for now, see you all later and enjoy the 2019 Stanley Cup finals.

2019 NHL Playoff Pickz: Round 2 review, and round 3 picks

Hi everyone, Alan here for my reviews, picks and my road hockey team's makeover here at AJH HJA.

My Round 2 review

Eastern Conference

Boston (A2) vs. Columbus (WC2)
My pick: Bruins in 6
Result: Bruins in 6
Final thought: Got this one right but I felt that this series could've gone all the way to 7 games.

NY Islanders (M2) vs. Carolina (WC1)
My pick: Islanders in 5
Result: Canes in 4
Final thought: Dear god I can't believe that the Isles got swept in the 2nd round after winning the 1st round in 4 games, unbelievable.

Western Conference

St. Louis (C3) vs. Dallas (WC1)
My pick: Blues in 6
Result: Blues in 7
Final thought: So it took 7 games for St.Louis to beat Dallas instead of 6 games.

San Jose (P2) vs. Colorado (WC2)
My pick: Sharks in 7
Result: Sharks in 7
Final thought: Wow! Another series that I got it right.

Alright as from my previous post about my road hockey team the Stallions logos, now I'll talk about the jersey. I helped with the jersey design after much putting it together just when I thought that it came to life, but the company that was making my team's jerseys had other ideas, and it didn't come full promising.
Here's what it could have been my team's official jersey.
On this white jersey, it has black and gold strips on both the arms and hem along with black and gold on the collar. Standard block on the nameplate, same with the numbers but with trims. Now here's the actual jersey.

Yup, it's the real deal, this is what my team's jersey looks like. White jersey gold horseshoe patterns all over it, a single black stripe on the arm, black and gold stripes on the hem. The logo looks like they took the logo my jersey concept and blew it up big instead of received an image file that is the right size for them to play around with the letters on the logo is out of place terrible to me, the horseshoe is alright, but the ends that have 3 stripes on each side are awful. Lastly, if you can look at one picture that has the "O," you can see that the inside of the "O" is a lighter shade of black, while outside of the "O" is pure black.
So that's my team's jersey the only thing right out of this is the nameplate and the numbers that I'm okay with it.

So with that out of the way, it's time for my Playoff Pickz round number 3.

Eastern Conference

Boston (A2) vs. Carolina (WC1)
My pick: Bruins in 5

Western Conference

San Jose (P2) vs. St. Louis (C3)
My pick: Sharks in 6

This post is done! One more post to go and the 2018-19 NHL season is done. The last post of the 2019 Playoff Pickz will feature my round 3 review, my Stallions concept, and my 2019 Stanley Cup pick. Until then enjoy round 3 if you can put up with overtimes.

2019 NHL Playoff Pickz: Round 1 review and Round 2 picks

Hi everyone, welcome back to another edition of NHL Playoff Pickz 2019 here at AJH HJA.

This one is not a pretty one, so it's short and sweet.

Here's the review of round 1.
Round 1
Eastern Conference

Tampa Bay (A1) vs. Columbus (WC2)
My Pick: Bolts in 5
Result: Blue Jackets in 4
Final thought: Tampa Bay went from a 62 win wonder to being a doormat in 4 games, unbelievable.

Boston (A2) vs. Toronto (A3)
My Pick: Bruins in 4
Result: Bruins in 7
Final thought: The Leafs once again gave the Bruins a hard time and once again choked in game 6.

Washington (M1) vs. Carolina (WC1)
My Pick: Caps in 6
Result: Canes in 7
Final thought: I can't believe that the 2018 Stanley Cup champions lost the series to a bunch of jerks the Hurricanes.

NY Islanders (M2) vs. Pittsburgh (M3)
My Pick: Pens in 6
Result: NYI in 4
Final thought: I know the Pens would fall apart in this playoffs, but this was shockingly too soon to me.

Western Conference

Nashville (C1) vs. Dallas (WC1)
My Pick: Preds in 6
Result: Stars in 6
Final thought: The Preds didn't play well no comment.

Winnipeg (C2) vs. St. Louis (C3)
My Pick: Jets in 7
Result: Blues in 6
Final thought: Out of all the teams that the Jets had to fall apart why it could have been someone else instead of the Blues.

Calgary (P1) vs. Colorado (WC2)
My Pick: Flames in 5
Result: Avalanche in 5
Final thought: The Flames didn't play well at all, but at least they got a win, unlike the Bolts.

San Jose (P2) vs. Vegas (P3)
My Pick: Sharks in 7
Result: Sharks in 7
Final thought: My god I thought this series was lopsided but the Sharks came back and pulled it off.

Now as usual before the picks here's my concept based on my road hockey team the Stallions. It's was back in December were my team decided to rebrand and need a new look, so I just join in and show off my design on which looks good for the team, that including a new logo to go with it which I put it together for them so without due here's the Stallions Road Hockey logo.

Indeed it's a round shape logo with the "Stallions Hockey Club" on it with a horseshoe in the middle with tweaks on the ends of the shoe to shape like a hockey sticks for that last touch feel to it, black and gold are the colours for this logo. I presented to my team, and the captains love it.

Well, it's time for my round 2 picks.

Eastern Conference

Boston (A2) vs. Columbus (WC2)
My pick: Bruins in 6

NY Islanders (M2) vs. Carolina (WC1)
My pick: Islanders in 5

Western Conference

St. Louis (C3) vs. Dallas (WC1)
My pick: Blues in 6

San Jose (P2) vs. Colorado (WC2)
My pick: Sharks in 7

And so this one is in the books come back for round 2 review, my round 3 picks and more Stallions goodies. Til then enjoy round 2.
