Chicago Blackhawks 3rd jerseys concept

Good day everyone, Alan here at AJH HJA. You pretty much now know the drill, so let's get to it.
I took the Blackhawks 2019 winter classic logo and just add red on it. The stripes are red and white. The numbers are red with white trim, and the letters are white in a red nameplate.

Icethetics Feedback

So this one is done on to the next one until then, later.

NHL Adidas concept: Chicago Blackhawks

Classic with some modern touch. On the dark jersey, I added stripes on the cuffs. Both Jerseys got trims around the letters, modernize the numbers, and add tie down on the collar. The shoulder patch is the team’s winter classic logo recolored.

AJH HJA Have Returned! (for now)

Hi everybody, Alan here after a taking a summer break from this site, witch it was more longer then I thought, let just say I been busy with life outside the concept world, I'll leave it at that.

Anyway while I'm on my summer break I took two requests from John O. You might remember him from his past requests I did was the Toronto Maple Leafs, and the Ottawa Senators. Today I'm going to show you my work put together by request by John O. Let's begin.

Chicago Black Hawks Stadium Series Concept

Nothing too big it's a white version of the Hawks 2014 Stadium series with some tweaks, 1. The main logo is not chromed (thank goodness.) 2. The team's shoulder patch is on both sides of the jersey. Lastly 3. Nameplate and the number fonts is in title "J-Log Rebellion" custom made by John himself, the numbers got trims base on NY Rangers 2014 Stadium series and the best part he doesn't want the TV numbers tilted (a plus for me!)

HJC Feedback

Minnesota Wild Nike Concept

This is pretty much the Wild's first set in a Nike template, the only thing different is the nameplate font, just like the Hawks it's "J-Log Rebellion"

After I forgot to inform John about the Nike template where the back is curved while the front is straight, so he request to give the front a Reebok curve treatment.

So that's it for today, hopefully I'll get back on track because I got tons of concepts to post here. Til then, later.

After the Stanley Cup rant post

Hi everyone, Alan here for my last post on this site and I'm on hiatus till probably around in the fall of 2015 with just bunch of rants, and an logo review so here we go.

Chicago Blackhawks 2015 Stanley Cup champions
I called it, I totally called it, I said (included others) the Blackhawks would win it in 6 games. Tampa got the right players to bring them to the big dance, but in the end the Hawks with their experience from their past cup appearance beat the Lightning to win their 3rd cup since 2010.

Manchester Monarchs 2015 Calder Cup Champions
The Monarchs won their first championship. Sadly this is their last title as the team will play in the ECHL for the 2015-16 season what a way to go off on top. Congrats and good luck in the ECHL Manchester Monarchs.

Allen Americans ECHL Kelly Cup Champions
What a year it is for this team! From winning back to back CeHL titles to being the 2015 ECHL Kelly Cup champions, I been following this team all season because of Blenheim's Jamie Schaafsma the captain of the team, heck I work with his mother and she tells me story of his time to from ECHL to Europe leagues. It's cool to see some locals from around my area doing fine with their hockey careers. Congrats to Jamie Schaafsma and the Allen Americans on winning the ECHL title and hope for being part of the ECHL for years to come.

Coyotes Saga again!
Year number 6, or 7 I don't know, with the city of Glendale, AZ have decide to drop their lease agreement with the Coyotes leaving them no arena to play in. Some of the yotes fan are trying to rally everyone to tell Glendale to live up the agreement, but the problem is those fans are from outside the city they don't understand that the problems are as bad as what they think.

Time for my logo review, this one caught my eye and I don't want to miss out on this one even thou this team came from Jr.C level league but their new logo got me wanna review this.

Wheatley Omstead Sharks
This is a nice re brand update! This is their old logo see the difference? I sure do! The shark looks badass one those look that the San Jose Sharks can't pull off like this. The fonts on the word mark fits the team. Nice way to put their old Omstead logo on the shark's fin to remind of their past history. The only some what of a down point is the colors put together for some odd reason it had that Columbus Blue Jackets alternate logo vibe to it. Overall pretty darn good looking logo for a Jr.C hockey team. Now the next thing is what their jerseys look like? I'm going have to wait until more likely in September.

Well that's today post, as I'm taking a summer break from this site, but don't worry my Twitter page, and my Facebook page will still be going. Until then I'm Alan have a great summer everyone.

2015 NHL Playoff Pickz: Round 3 review, and the Stanley Cup pick

Hi everyone Alan here for my review of the 3rd round, and my last pick for this year Stanley Cup playoffs!

But first I have announcement, I have decide to take a break from this site for the summer due to the lack of making tons of concepts, and lack of time of doing projects that I've been trying from months to even over a year to do but thanks to being busy with work. With summer around the corner I'm taking an advantage of it and hoping that I'll get those projects done and out of the way. As for my other social media pages, my twitter page will still be going there will some retweets here and there nothing more. My Facebook page will keep going it'll be mostly my classic posts I've been doing for a while.

I know it's looks confusing but that's my plan and I'm sticking to it. So let's get to my review of the Conference finals.

Western Conference
Anaheim Ducks (P1) vs. Chicago Blackhawks (C3)
My pick: Ducks in 6
The result: Blackhawks wins it in 7
For the first time that I got this one 100% wrong, not a happy camper.

Eastern Conference
New York Rangers (M1) vs. Tampa Bay Lightning (A2)
My Pick: Rangers in 7
The result: Lightning wins it in 7
Not happy at all with this series, not happy at all!

And now without a due it's my last pick of the 2015 NHL Playoff Pickz! The match up from the West it's the Chicago Blackhawks (C3) taking on the east Tampa Bay Lightning (A2) the original 6 greats vs. the original 6 slayer, who will win?
My pick: Blackhawks in 6

Well that's my last pick, the next post will be my rant, and after that I'm take a summer off from this site until then later.

2014 Christmas Post

Hello I'm Alan, I'll get elbow to my head, so you don't have to. Hope everyone is having a great day as much I am, today I'm just going to some rants slash jersey reviews, let's get going.

Thoughts on the Winter Classic uniforms.

Washington Capitals
Picture Credit: The (unofficial) NHL Uniform Database
Up points: Colors was a good choice for the winter classic game. The pants is a good choice. Tie-down collar is a surprise for me but it fits with the jersey. Stripes on the hem, and the yokes are well put together, and very Capital like! Lastly stars on the arms is always O.K. with me.
Down points: the logo is good but with both red and blue at a darker shade looks blended together, the lack of trim around the logo didn't really give eye popper effect at all.
My Jersey Collection Rate: Wait until it's on sale.

Chicago Blackhawks
Picture Credit: The (unofficial) NHL Uniform Database
Up points: For a jersey base on the 1957-58 style this is a darn good winter classic jersey to see on the ice! Secondary logo on the arms is a plus for me.
Down point: If you're doing a winter classic jersey you can at least use the logo base on 1957-58 jersey.
My Jersey Collection Rate: Buy it at the full price.

Thoughts on the Stadium Series uniforms.

San Jose Sharks
Picture Credit: The (unofficial) NHL Uniform Database
Up points: No chrome logo "YES! Thank god!" The uniform is Habs'ish but it look pretty good to me. Lastly I like the shoulder patch, it really fits with the team really well.
Down points: The chest stripe didn't go all the way around the back. Whats up with the large TV numbers that doesn't have trim with it, really Reebok? Large secondary logo on the pants, why? The collar, who came up with that idea? Lastly the jersey you got more teal on it, but you got more black then teal on the sock, really guys?
My Jersey Collection Rate: Buy it when is 50% off the price tag.

LA Kings
Picture Credit: The (unofficial) NHL Uniform Database
Up points: Logo not chromed is a plus for me, using the team's previous Stadium Series "LA" logo as shoulder patch is a smart move. Lastly despite the black chest stripe didn't go all the way around but they did kept grey above the white cleanly.
Down points: Again large TV numbers, why Reebok? The collar is just like the sharks it just too unnecessary big, "what were they thinking?" Lastly you guys got the nerve, the nerve I say that all the things you do, who in the right mind thinks that it's a good idea to make the pants white? I mean my god, putting a big secondary logo on the pants doesn't help out to make it better, it's worse. Just when you thought the Caps first season with white pants was bad, this one ruins the jersey in general.
My Jersey Collection Rate: Buy it without the vision of the white pants stuck in your head.

Whalers getting out of Plymouth?
In OHL news that I heard and read that the owner of the team wants to move his team to a different city due to poor attendance, which was a shocker to me because this team had a lot of success of being in the playoffs minus 2 years, including the 1995 OHL title, and nobody wants to see this team play! The other reason is the USA development program offers some big money to play in Plymouth rink over staying in Ann Arbor MI, witch more shocking in this source say the owner of the Whalers also owns the rink as well witch is weird to me non the less. So what location that the owner of the Whalers wants to go to? Flint, MI? No! Hamilton? Wrong! He wants his team to move to Chatham! That's right he want to move the team, and I'll say it again just to let it sink in, "A OHL team to my hometown Chatham!" Now I know you all are thinking is "why am I not going crazy about this?" Well history always said that ever time my town is in talks about from a OHL team, to even talks about getting a new rink, it's ether drift away to a point that it was just a myth, or some big shot wants the city money to built their arena the way they want without losing chunks off their account. I'm not saying that my town is broke and all but we are not spending the money the right way that's all. Unless this owner of this team knows what he's in for, and willing to take a big chunk of his bank to built us a new arena then I'm all for it and it'll help my town along the way too, just look at St. Catharines when they got themselves a OHL team and getting a new arena people over there questioned it and when the new arena got built the people talk nothing but praises about it, hopefully it will have the same impact for my town like what St. Catharines got, for now all I can do is to sit and wait to see how this ends up.

Oil changes in Edmonton
After years of top draft picks later and the Oilers are still hitting rock bottom, you would've thought by now this team would rank at least close to a 9th place spot right now but sadly they are not! To think they were 1 win short to win the cup in 2006, and now here they are. Right now they're been on losing streaks from one big chunk to another, something need to be fix and fast, they have to pick what straws they got left to do that before the trade deadline.

Swords balancing act
My London Sabreswords HCIHL team had a great first 3 games, then went on a bad losing streak, at this time this week my team is 6-5. I'm hoping for a turn around for the rest of this season if I can keep up updating my rosters, mostly my goalies.

Reasons for my lack of posts to putting projects aside
After my "Concept of the Dead Month" this site have been lacking posts both this month, and last month, the reason is I've been busy with a lot stuff  so much I haven't got the chance to do any concept making, even I had the chance to do them I felt burned out from a rough day at my job. Heck I had plans that I want to put together for this site that have to be put in back burner to even forgetting about plans. Therefore I apologize for the lack of posts to you all that were expecting some better numbers of post made by me for the last two months, I will try to do the best I can, I can't say it will never going to happen again but I'll try.

Well that's today post, hope you all have a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkahs, Happy Kwanza, Happy Decemberween, Happy whatever Holidays you're celebrate. Happy Holidays everyone til then, I'm Alan, I'll get elbow to my head, so you don't have to.

Double Contributors

Hello I'm Alan, I'll get elbow to my head, so you don't have to. Well the NHL's outdoor games are going to be done, and history! What better way to salute this year then have not 1, but 2 contributor concepts here on AJH HJA. Let's get going.

Pittsburgh vs. Chicago Stadium Series Concept [by Ricky]
Pittsburgh
Up points: Gold as the main color on the jersey is a good move to my mind. The robo Penguin make a return is alright with me. Lastly the design base on the team's first ever alternate jersey never get too old for me.
Down points: 2 things. 1. No hem stripe makes the jersey look uncompleted, and 2. The grey wrist stripe looks plain to me.
My suggestion: Add hem stripes, and give some touches to that grey wrist stripes some more love just like the others.
Chicago
Up points: The stripes is well put together, and the red numbers is an eye popper for me.
Down points: Red under the arms, and the red helmet throw this concept off to me.
My suggestion: Make the red under the arms, and the red helmet black.

Team Kazakhstan Concept [by Joey F.]
Up points: The design on the jersey is simple, but with the angle pattern slap on it gave it that "Team Kazakhstan" written all over it. Nameplate is Blue Jackets font, but fits the theme on this concept. Lastly nice job on the "C" patch there.
Down point: The only thing is the lack of white, that's all.
My suggestion: Add some white on the jersey from replace a yellow stripe, to add white trim around the numbers.

Well that's today post, hope you all enjoy it, even without an concept by me. I'm on competition mode right now this week, so don't expect and new post from me on this site for now, and working afternoon shift this week ain't making it easy for me, but I do have an partner helping me out with this one, hopefully we get this sucker done in time before the due date. Until then, I'm Alan, I'll get elbow to my head, so you don't have to.

Top 11 NHL Outdoor games jersey

Hi everyone Happy New Year everyone as we are hours away from the Wings-Leafs Winter Classic game. One of six outdoor games this year so I decide to do a first ever "Top 11 NHL Outdoor games jerseys." Let's not waste time and get going.

11. Anaheim Ducks
Picture Credit: The (unofficial) NHL Uniform Database
The idea of Anaheim Ducks in orange jersey was always in many fans mind, and every concept artist desire, and dream come to life. But this one is "NIGHTMARE!" Chromed logo, one thin hem stripe with thick side panel, half stripes on the arms, and tilted TV numbers. The only thing good from this disaster jersey is the "OC" shoulder patch, and that's all.

10. New York Islanders
Picture Credit: The (unofficial) NHL Uniform Database
Despite of just the "NY" chromed logo, the nameplate, stretched numbers in the back, tilted numbers, white yoke, and just one hem stripe. This one got an good collar, and the arm stripe is pretty much tamed, not the best, but better then the Ducks.

9. New York Rangers
Picture Credit: The (unofficial) NHL Uniform Database
This one was an disappointment for me, stretched numbers in the back, tilted numbers, one hem stripe, and thick side panel. The arm stripe is messed up in an bad way. The collar, yoke, and the "New York" word mark logo makes up for an not so good jersey that got that "Lady Liberty" feel to it.

8. Pittsburgh Penguins
Picture Credit: The (unofficial) NHL Uniform Database
This one maybe like the others, but it's better then the team's current set. I like the stripes on both arms, and hem. An small vegas gold on the back of the yoke could have gone all the way to the front of the yoke. Finally using the Oilers collar is an good call! Overall: It just an SS jersey, but fix it more and it could be the next set for the team.

7. Chicago Blackhawks
Picture Credit: The (unofficial) NHL Uniform Database
This had everything going, but fell short, stretched numbers in the back, chromed logo, and tilted numbers. But at lease they have hem stripes on it. Overall: If it weren't for stretched numbers in the back, chromed logo, and tilted numbers. This one would be the team's future 3rd.

6. Vancouver Canucks
Picture Credit: The (unofficial) NHL Uniform Database
Last year this was worn by the Canucks, on March 2 the team will wear it again. The jersey is alright but I felt like they should wear their first jersey from the beginning, and cream pants "Not a big fan!" Nothing too much to say about it, moving on.

5. Los Angeles Kings
Picture Credit: The (unofficial) NHL Uniform Database
Out of all Stadium Series jerseys, this team is one of my favorite! The chromed logo really fit this jersey nicely. Grey as the team's main color on this jersey is really an eye catcher. I got nothing to say about this, despite of the tilted TV numbers, this one is an solid SS jersey.

4. Detroit Red Wings
Picture Credit: The (unofficial) NHL Uniform Database
Classic, and nostalgia. The stripes are wisely place, straight nameplate is fine with me, numbers are classy, and the logo pure classic. The downer is the word mark above the logo make it busy, and vintage white, really? Overall: Good WC jersey but two things kept it away from the top 3.

3. New Jersey Devils
Picture Credit: The (unofficial) NHL Uniform Database
Even though the logo is chromed, but glad that this team did not followed the other teams that give jersey collectors an eye sore. Base on the team's first ever set. Overall: Very classic jersey, favorable, and why haven't the team promote it to full time 3rd?

2. Toronto Maple Leafs
Picture Credit: The (unofficial) NHL Uniform Database
Stripes, stripes, stripes everywhere on this jersey! Despite I hate this team, but you got to give them credit they know how to present classic jerseys nicely. Overall: Nice WC jersey from an team I hate.

And the Number 1 of the top 11 NHL Outdoor games jersey is.....

1. Ottawa Senators
Picture Credit: The (unofficial) NHL Uniform Database
I'm going off the record and say that I hate vintage white, such a overrated colored, but this one was used very well done to my taste. An vintage white version of the team's current 3rd jersey. Nice stripes that is well balanced that is simple but great. Overall: Vintage white or true white make it full time road along with the current 3rd as home to replaced the team's current set.

And that's my top 11 NHL Outdoor games jerseys hope you'll enjoy the Winter Classic, and other outdoor games, until then, I'm Alan, I'll get elbow to my head, so you don't have to.

Crazy concept in a good way, and an mess up concept in a bad way.

Hi everyone welcome back to AJH HJA, today we got an mess your mind concept in an good way to an just plain mess up. Let's get going!

Phoenix Coyotes Concept [by Ricky M.]
This one is Crazy! But in a good way. Purple as the main color really popped my eye followed by green, with white in between is an nice touch. Using the lizard logo on the front is O.K. with me, adding shoulder patches is an good move. The hem is freaky, the pattern is bizarrely neat. The down point is the numbers being sienna with sand trim. My suggestion is make the numbers sand with white trim, it may look unfitting but it help from making it close to some what blending with purple, and sienna.

Chicago Blackhawks Concept [by me]

This one of my "Look good in my mind but doesn't look good when complete" thing. the arms and the yoke got angle stripes, while the hem angled but stopped and went straight. Using the team's old logo did not help this concept at all, nor the shoulder patch. This was the not an good concept since my Tampa Bay Lightning concept.

Well that's today's post, until then I'm Alan, I'll get elbow to my head, so you don't have to.

Long Weekend rant

Hi everyone, it's been awhile since my last rant, so let's get going.

Blackhawks Stanley Cup Champs.
"I Called it!" I said the Hawks will beat the Bruins in 6 games, and the Hawks beat the Bruins in 6 games, this is for the first time ever that I got it right on a Stanley Cup finals, aside from that congratulation to the Chicago Blackhawks 2013 Stanley Cup Champions.

Dallas Stars new set.
On June the 4th the Dallas Stars got themselves new jerseys and I have to say they look pretty good I was a little not pleased with silver replacing gold but the way the kept the silver on just the logos I'm O.K. with it the only thing I wish they do is add trim around the numbers and it would be in the top 10 on my book.

Hurricanes new set.
First Tampa Bay, now the Hurricanes, I can tell you these teams trying to be like the original 6 teams is a big fail no matter what you do, and this is a poor direction to go to. I mean their new set is like team Canada set, the fonts is bad, no shoulder patch, and to make things worst they depromoted their warning flag stripe from hem to the collar. It's a joke! If I want these jerseys I'll wait to be at discount price.

Coyotes final nail?
Mark your calendar, July 2nd will be the date to see if the Coyotes stays, or goes. I for one is getting sick and tired of this it's been 4 years this have to end soon. if they go they move to Seattle as this so called plan B, if they stay, then they stay but for how long? And with this so called new owners in bid to buy this team do this so called new owners knows what they're up against? we'll wait and see.

Well that's my rant for now I big plans this July, well three things really.
1. Hopefully enter in this year HJC Open, don't quote me on that with my job changing time shifts here and there, and some other concept artist hungry for a chance to be in the HJC Open it won't be easy, but I'll give it a shot.
2. Working on some concepts for the IceHL jersey design contest. I think I got enough ideas flowing in my head to make at least 4 or 5 out of 11 teams with no problems in front of me.
3. Making a fanfic hockey league. I been trying this for a long time mainly early this year I had the first 5 seasons story all done and ready to go until my computer's motherboard got fried and all that data trapped I had to start all over again, hopefully I can get at least 5 seasons done to make it happen.

Tomorrow is the last day of my rest of the OHL redesign concept, then on Monday also known as Canada Day another concept, until then later.

2013 NHL Playoff Pickz: Round 3 review and the Stanley Cup Finals picks

Well this round got by quick, "Real quick!" Let's not waste time and review this sucker.

 Eastern Conference Finals
1. Pittsburgh vs. 4. Boston
My Pick: Pens beat the Bruins 4-2
The Result: Bruins sweep the Pens 4-0
I thought Bruins beating the day light out of the Rangers was one thing, but sweeping the 1st seed Penguins is a surprise for me.

 Western Conference
1. Chicago vs. 5. Los Angeles
My Pick: Blackhawks beat the Kings 4-3
The Result: Blackhawks beat the Kings 4-1
I was hoping for this series to go all the way to game 7 but that didn't happened, but I give the Kings credit for playing to the end.

And now it's set, the Stanley Cup Finals.
Chicago Blackhawks 2013 Presidents' Trophy winner, and beat the 2012 Stanley Cup Champion.
Boston Bruins came back from a 4-1 score and win it in game 7 overtime over the Leafs, and slayed the 1st seed Pittsburgh.
My Pick: Blackhawks beat the Bruins 4-2

Well that's my Playoffs Pickz 2013 Hope you all enjoy it, hopefully after the Finals I'll throw my rant on here soon til then later.
