Summer of Concept Contributor: Ideas given to me!

Hello I'm Alan, I'll get elbow to my head, so you don't have to. This week "Summer of Contributors!" is kinda more of ideas given to me thing, this idea for this concept came from Joey F. Long story short, me and joey try to enter in the HJC'c pairs contest, we choose a team, we put this concept together along with other stuff to enter the contest, but there were numbers of flaws that didn't follow the rules, and we didn't get in. We put together a concept that was made for the main jersey set, but use as alternate, even thou I made a white version of it but still as alternate. I was thinking of not sending them to any site, but HJC got a page on their site have people leaving ideas for concept artists to do, so why not, since I did put this concept together with Joey's ideas I'll go for it. Here it is the Toronto St.Pats concept put together by me, and ideas given to me by Joey F.

On this one it got stripes, stripes, stripes everywhere, two stripes on the biceps, two stripes on the wrists, and two stripes on the side of the pants. On the hem, and socks got three stripes. The colors are green, and white, witch it's why it's suppose to be as alternate because The team's real colors are green, and wheat. The logo is a big "T" with two stripes at the ends. Lastly The yokes is shaped like the Dallas Stars current white jersey was used on this concept.

HJC Feedback

You all thought this is the only one? Guess again. Around this time last month I got a request by a fan who checked out this site and ask if I could do some concept request, so I decide to give it a shot, and let just say he was pleased with it! Here it is the Toronto Maple Leafs concept requested by John Ocasio.

This was a tricky request putting the round font era Maple Leafs numbers, and letters base on the word mark logo that is on the maple leaf, I got the letters, but the numbers are a very rare to come by so I made a tough choice but use the Anaheim Ducks old first alternate (and forth) jersey, it may not be like the Leafs old fonts, but it got that round effect feel to it. The jersey design is base on the Boston Bruins old set from 1995 to 2007. I add silver to the color set to make the this template work. The Maple Leafs old "TML" shoulder patch is also on this concept witch to me is the most underrated logo the Leafs had, witch it look pretty good on this concept.

The home and road isn't the one that got request done. I put together an alternate jersey as part of the request from John Ocasio. This one is a black jersey with the "TML" logo as the main crest, using the text-less maple leaf logo as shoulder patch. It kinda hard to see the blue but they're there.

Summer of Concept Contributor: Behind the Mask

Hello I'm Alan, I'll get elbow to my head, so you don't have to. This week "Summer of Contributors!" is not a hockey jerseys, but it's a goalie mask concept from Ricky M. Off to the concept.

Ryan Miller St.Louis Blues Mask concept [By Ricky M.]
The details on the mask looks great! The notes are placed on the right spots. The Gateway Arch in navy is may be blended with true blue, but you can still see it. Lastly the city tops this nice art work all the way around the mask. the back of the mask is simply clever. The down point is the Olympics rings kinda overdoing it, it would work only in the Olympics, and not in the NHL.

Well that's week post! Keep your eyes peel for next Saturday for more "Summer of Contributors!" Until then I'm Alan, I'll get elbow to my head, so you don't have to.

Summer of Concept Contributor: Power Rangers! (See what I did there!)

Hello I'm Alan, I'll get elbow to my head, so you don't have to. Welcome to week 2 of my "Summer of Contributors!"  This week is another Joey concept, but this time is a full body concept of the Tampa Bay Lightning alternate concept. Also we got a Rangers concept from Ricky. Let's get to it.

Tampa Bay Lightning Concept [by Joey]
Up points: Black is the main color on this one, blue came in second, that's how the team should be doing right now. The vertical arm stripe is classy, but to me it really fits the team good.
Down points: The "BOLTS" logo is good, but it's lacks trim around it. The numbers look plain without trim around it. The hem stripe is too thick, it makes the front look too busy. Lastly the stripes on the socks is place too low to me.
My suggestions: Thin the hem stripe, add trims around the "BOLTS" logo, and the TV numbers, and raise the stripes on the socks.

New York Rangers Concept [by Ricky]
Up points: Stripes on the arms, hem, and even on the yokes is well put together, using the Liberty logo is a good pick to my mind, and lastly red as the team's main colors is rare to see on the Rangers but this works!
Down point: The shoulder patch is placed too close to the collar to me. The Liberty logo doesn't match with the colors on the jersey.
My suggestion: Change the blue on the jersey to navy blue like the Liberty logo, and it's good to go.

Well that's this week post, see you all next week for another addition of "Summer of Contributors!" Until then I'm Alan, I'll get elbow to my head, so you don't have to.

Summer of Concept Contributor: Oil change!

Hello I'm Alan, I'll get elbow to my head, so you don't have to.Well summer is here and the beginning of "Summer of Contributors!" Every week all summer long will be nothing but contributor posts, contributor posts, contributor post! Today we got a contributor post from Joey F. Let's get going shall we.

Up points: The steel drop logo is one of the best logos that can't be recolored ever was used on this concept, and looked good. The silver yoke with white trim was a nice touch. To make it unique was the shoulder patch in the edge of the yoke really fits the Oilers theme very clever.
Down points: The arm stripes is way low to the wrist.
My suggestion: Bring the the stripes up at least close to the TV numbers.

Well that's this week post to kick off the "Summer of Contributors!" See you all next week until then, I'm Alan, I'll get elbow to my head, so you don't have to.
