Sudbury Wolves Concept

This is the Sudbury Wolves Concept, the concept that I had a macho moment for myself! I mean I had a dream of this concept for a long time and I decide to follow that vision and here we are!
The main crest is the teams alternate crest from there current alternate jersey, the only thing I changed on the crest is the color on it, I change the black to blue, design the arm stripes leaving a gap in between the arm stripes, the fonts on the numbers is the old Nashville Predators fonts they had before their rebrand in 2011, after seeing the Wolves 40th anniversary logo the number 40 is almost look like (maybe I'm wrong) the same fonts as the Preds old ones, right off the bat I just had to put them on these concepts in a huge way, the fonts on the NOB is the Anaheim Ducks fonts, the colors on these concepts the same as always Blue, Grey, and white, the way I put the colors on it had that classic pre-edge feel to it, one of those put a classic colors on a modern jersey, I know it's hard for me to explain it but that how I felt it after putting this concept together a feel good moment.

Well that's it for this week, the next post will be my 100th post here on this site, it'll be just my rants about hockey stuff that I'll try to get it off from my chest and maybe a concept on the post too but who knows we'll wait and see until then.

Atlanta Thrashers concept 3

Here's my Atlanta Thrashers concepts number 3. I decide to bring modern with the usage of their arrows strips on the hems, the arms, and on the side of their pants for good measure, change the V-neck to laces but keeping the arrows design on it, and the color patterns is almost the same as their original uniforms worn from 1999 to 2003.

Well that's it for this week I got one more Concept to be posted next week before my 100th post, it'll be just my rants about hockey from the NHL lockout, Katz vs. the city of Edmonton feud, to the latest Islanders moving to Brooklyn, and maybe more to my 100th post I try to make it as big as I can.

Well that's all for now.

Brewing up some Admirals

Once upon a time theirs a team began in the year 1977 in the old IHL (International Hockey League) called the Milwaukee Admirals, in the year 2001 the IHL close it's doors and the Admirals joins the AHL and in 2004 the Admirals won their first (and so far the only) Calder Cup title.
For the past months I try to make the Admirals concepts to top their current set, their look is not bad and heck I even own their ice blue 3rd, but one thing that bothers the heck out of me is their socks, it drove me nuts and ruins a good set, and so here's "3" Milwaukee Admirals concepts I tried to brew up.
Oh one more thing just for info of why their is a Milwaukee Brewers old logo on the Adms jerseys? The answer is one of the part owners of the Adms is also the Owner of the Milwaukee Brewers with that the Brewers are their main sponsor.

 Milwaukee Admirals Concepts number 1
This one I try to make it easy, simple, and have that classic feel to it with their full body Admiral not only it's fits this concepts but also it's my favorite crest ever. And so I made black as their main color and give their ice blue some more spotlight with silver as addition color, the 3rd concept is much base on their 80s look they had when they were the Quebec Nordiques farm club instead of the fleur de lis, I use the teams anchor logo to give that flux back feel to it.

Milwaukee Admirals Concepts number 2
Now this one I really had a hard time, I decide to make their ice blue as the main color both colored and 3rd, while the white stay the same, and quite honestly to tell you the truth I have a hard time in making the ice blue as the road I really don't want to make it as the road it's too good to be a road jersey, so I decide to pull a NHL jersey rule, even though the AHL jerseys rule is the white jersey is home and the color ones are the road, but I just pulled the NHL jerseys rule and did it that way, indeed that is not how AHL roll but couldn't bare my self to do.

Milwaukee Admirals Concepts number 3

There's a saying go "if it doesn't succeed try, try again" and thus I did! On the home jersey I switched the black with ice blue, the road jersey the arm strips is switch from white to ice blue, the 3rd and special event is the same as my second concepts, you kinda say it's a complete set right here, I really like this concept so hopefully you all enjoy these concepts.

My Top 5 favorite NHL Video Games of all time

With NHL 13 are now on store shelf’s for many hardcore hockey video game fans to fans that needed that Hockey fix, but not for me I’m not very excited about it, the more updates on the game gets, the more I go “sigh”, follow by “ugh”, and lastly shaking my head in grief, these hockey video games now a days will never be like the old games I love to play, will I buy NHL 13? Maybe, whose knows? For now this is my top 5 favorite NHL Video Games of all time.

5. NHL 2003 (GCN)
This game I got for Christmas for my GameCube and I got to say this game was pretty different so to speak with their manual dukes on the “C” stick you can control your stick handle to fool the goalie, every time that you go on a breakaway you have heart pounding motion, you also have the “Game Breaker Meter” were you fill this meter up, press the “Z” button and your surroundings moves in slow motion, and lastly the NHL Cards where you earn points and buy cards, unlike me I just use my Action Replay cheats to buy alot of cards mainly power play cards because I always seem to end up on penalty kills more than power plays, the only down point on the game is the commentaries, one is alright, but the other is ignoring, so all and all it’s a good game for me to enjoy.

4. NHL 99 (N64)
Ah the good old N64 how the days of playing this system brings back so many memories from Mario Kart 64 to WWF No Mercy but one hockey game that I played and enjoy at the same time is NHL 99, I really like playing this game it doesn’t have all that dukes and stuffs that the newer hockey games got, just straight up move your joystick left to right and shoot that’s all, this was really fun the best part of the game is the replay it’s fun, the down point on this game is the data I have to use the memory card, sadly I got a cheap kind that every time I pull it out and reinsert back in the controller all the data was gone, but in the end a very fun game!

3. NHL Hitz 2003 (GCN)
Remember NFL Blitz games made by Midway? Well if you do then you should know NHL Hitz, their first one was good but this game was awesomely hardcore in your face hockey game that I ever played, nice 3 on 3 style game playing, checking other players is easy and awesome I mean you can check them through the glass and into the crowd, the Fighting game play was the best, the Franchise mode was fun, you have to complete tasks, and more, the mini game are a blast and fun to play, and just like NFL Blitz games you can set yourself on Fire, the special lock stuff to unlock galore from unlocking stadiums, Classic jerseys, body forms, to even animals heads for the Create A Player mode, the commentaries is just like NFL Blitz crazy and funny, the down point on this game is the Create A Team if you choose the Logo you get the whole works and that’s it, overall  this is pretty much an arcade style game but a Fun and Awesome game!

2. NHL 95 (PC)
Ah the good old days of PC games, well really I don’t have many PC games, but I do have this game, a nice 2-D style game playing with use the “A” key to pass, the “space bar” to shoot, and the “arrow keys” to move your players around, or use the mouse as the controller, there’s a create a player thing on this game too, also both season and playoffs mode, it’s a very good game no doubt. I would love to play this game again, but the computers now are too advanced for the old PC game to accept it witch is sad, but hopefully one day I’ll get to play this game again.

1. NHL 2004 (GCN)
This one of the greatest game I have ever played and pretty much the prime for EA Sports hockey series to my mind, the controller is perfect, the dukes is easy to do for breakaways to beat the goalies, the Bruise Control is the best feature on this game hold the “L” button and flick the “C” stick and watch the opposing player fly, the buttons combos to do spins and blocks are right on, the commentaries is spot on, both the season and playoff mode is good, the GM mode is brilliantly made to give players that challenging edge both on the ice and off the ice from drafts to trades, upgrades to the teams transportations, gyms, scouts, etc. It’s a very good game to play best one ever.

And that’s my top 5 favorite NHL Video Games of all time! Yes indeed the video games have changed and with Nintendo newest system the “Wii U” coming and as the Nintendo fans like myself is excited and hopefully get the system and maybe MAYBE EA Sports would make a NHL game for the new system, one those that to made every year kinda thing like PS3 and Xbox 360 usually get, but for now we’ll wait and see.
What’s your favorite Hockey Video Games of all time, your top 5, 10, or that one game that means so much to you? Post a comment and tell us what your favorite Hockey Video Games is. Until then.

Hartford Whalers Concepts

Hi everyone, now before we get on the concept on your left side of my blog it's a poll, after my "AHL Affiliate Fantasy Week" I decide to make a poll to see witch of my 5 concepts you want me to sent not just to HJC, but others concepts site as well, this one however is multiple vote that means you can vote more then one concept, the poll is open until the 21st of October.
Now on to the concept.
This concept I try to give it something simple yet the way I believe it would fit to the fans taste and keep it in Reebok standards, the design on the arms look like the Flyers old jerseys that look like one of those wave feel that I got that was too good to pass so I use that, add some trims on it made the colors Green, Blue, Light Silver, and Dark Silver, this concept took me a long time in a short week mainly jumping in between my job to house sitting my sister's place I just barely got my computer time in it, I got everything done there's more likely some errors on this concepts before I sent it to HJC as part of the Hartford Whalers redesign contest they got going on over there now it's voting week, when ever they pull the trigger for all of us to vote and I know back of my hand there are others concepts over there is really good so people get ready to vote for your favorite Hartford Whalers concept.

That's all for now.

AHL Affiliate Fantasy Week Day 5

Well today is the last day so here we go.
If Oklahoma City is affiliate with the Tampa Bay Lightning you get
I named them the Storm just to fit with other sport team like the NBA's Oklahoma City Thunder, and the WNBA's Tulsa Shock to name few. This concepts I made is pretty much different from Tampa, just pretty much use the Lightning' old crest from 07-08 to 10-11 replace the "Tampa Bay" word mark on it and put "Oklahoma City" on the top of the logo and add "Storm" on the bottom, add black to the teams color with blue, grey, and white just give it a little bit more live to it with the stripes and trims around the letters and numbers, I didn't add the Lightning main crest on the shoulders on this concepts because there's the lightning bolt on the side of the pants that pretty much got some people knowing who's this team is affiliate with.

And so that's my "AHL Affiliate Fantasy Week" hope you all enjoy it as much as I do, will I do this again? Maybe or maybe not, but who knows, right now I got other concepts ideas including remakes stuck in my head to work on for now.

AHL Affiliate Fantasy Week Day 4

If Oklahoma City is affiliate with the Dallas Stars you get
See any resemblance on this concept? Yup this would be the same concept as my Dallas Star Alternate concept, I decide to put on OKC with the same look and the same fonts (Kroftsmann font) on the main crest, shoulder patch, NOB, and numbers. The only thing that is different is the color I decide to tease it a little by making it black as the main color instead of green so that the fans can hope for a green alternate jersey that will more likely happen instead of Dallas that seems to fail at deliver a green alternate jersey attempts so many times I lost count.

AHL Affiliate Fantasy Week Day 3

If Oklahoma City is affiliate with the Washington Capitals you get
Once again same look as their parent club I know but this to me is too good to pass on, I will admit I don't like the caps alternate logo but when I use this on this concept it kinda has that same building look like once again the Oklahoma City Blazers logo before they folded I found it more fitting then Washington, so overall it's pretty much the same nothing too boring, nor over the top.

Tuesday 2 October 2012

AHL Affiliate Fantasy Week Day 2

If Oklahoma City is affiliate with the Calgary Flames you get
I know what you all are thinking and believe me it look lazy using the Flames current Jerseys RBK Cutter template and the flame colors indeed it's a cheap shot in the gut, but think about this when I first thought of the Oklahoma City Blazers (the old CHL team) the first thing came in my mind is this have the Flames farm club written all over, instead of a flame behind the "B" I used the Blazers old "B" crest on it, and use the Calgary Flames crest for the shoulder patch, also I got rid of that black pit color on the red jersey to make the set look good.

AHL Affiliate Fantasy Week Day 1

If Oklahoma City is affiliate with the Boston Bruins you get

You kinda say it's weird and all, but it could work to me, the Concepts is pretty much like Boston's jerseys both home and road, but there are different, the Yokes are bigger and got two stripes on the yokes, gaps in between the socks, change the shoulder patch with one with the bear with "OKC" on the bottom on one side and Boston's alternate crest on the other, and on the main crest the "B" that Boston use is replaced with a different "B" that base on the Oklahoma City Blazers that used to be part of Central Hockey League once upon a time, so they can have the same name and colors but different jerseys look!
